Honor Flight coast to coast...
DAV members were among 12 veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War taken to Washington, D.C., as part of the Honor Flight Program. The veterans, from St. George, Utah, along with volunteers and guardians, spent time at memorials erected to honor their service as well as Arlington National Cemetery and others. Members of DAV Chapter 4 in Tampa, Fla., purchased a van and donated it to the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital to transport veterans to and from VA medical appointments. Members of DAV Chapter 63 in Cincinnati, presented a donation of more than $1,600 to leadership of the Cincinnati VA Medical Center for purchasing therapeutic arts and crafts kits for hospitalized and disabled veterans.
